Finding free concerts in south Gran Canaria is not always easy: much of the area's evening entertainment is paid or aimed squarely at tourists. Juevísimos: live music every Thursday in August
Juevísimos is the centre's summer concert series: every Thursday in August at 8:00 pm, the Central Plaza becomes an open-air stage with free entry, subject to capacity. There are no tickets and no bookings: you arrive, pick a spot and enjoy.

The fountain show: Friday and Saturday nights
Outside Thursdays, Mogan Mall's regular free event is the show of its central fountain, the largest cybernetic fountain in the Canary Islands. Every Friday and Saturday night it stages a synchronised display of water, light and music, timed to fit neatly before or after dinner. It is probably the most photographed free spectacle in the south of the island.

Tips for the concerts
Juevísimos concerts start punctually at 8:00 pm, Canary Islands time. The Central Plaza is spacious but capacity is limited, so it pays to arrive a little early, especially for the tribute shows, which tend to draw the biggest crowds.
